After the film, Clinical Psychologist Dr. Glenn Anderson will discuss how its deeply flawed characters seek redemption, healing, and integration through their relationships with other flawed characters, with tragic results. Dr. Anderson led discussion last year of David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive (1999) for the APT and will compare both films’ central themes while contrasting the stylistic approaches of the directors.

Norman Finkelstein, Professor of English at Xavier University and CPI graduate, will discuss the movie in the context of the Patricia Highsmith novel, first published in 1955, which served as the source material for the film adaptation. Professor Finkelstein has taught the book extensively in his courses.
